Eight months after the introduction
Eight months after the introduction of an innovative approach called PMTCT (Prevention of Mother-To-Child Transmission) Option B+ in Swaziland, 215 women have been enrolled in life-long antiretroviral (ARV) treatment. A message of hope arrived from the field. Patient S, a mother who was put on treatment when she was pregnant, has given birth to an HIV-negative baby.
