The Bosch CM12SD 12" Dual-Bevel Slide miter saw came out early in the summer of 2015. I have had a few months to use this saw on some projects. This saw has quickly become my go to saw for quick, easy and accurate cuts. We often talk about the right tool for the right job. With miter saws I believe that it comes down to quick miter angle setup that are very accurate. The CM12Sd has far surpassed my expectations of accuracy and ease of use.
The bevel lever is very easy to open and lock with its location on the side of the saw. The motor and gearing has been moved to give a greater cut capacity for trim and crown molding. The turret bevel detent system is super easy to use and is very accurate with common detents at 22.5, 33.9, 45 and 47 degrees. The multiple options for adjusting the fence and table extensions are simple. No matter how you cut it, this saw will place in the top few miter saws made at this time.
