Day Trip to Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary - A Heaven for Nature Lovers! Within 200 kms From Bangalore

Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, situated at a distance of  approx. 150 kilometers from Bengaluru, is a heaven for nature lovers that provides a much needed respite from the concrete jungles of metro cities. Situated near the historic town of Srirangapatna, the sanctuary is spread over 0.67 sq km and is home to multiple species of birds and also few crocodiles! Our day trip from Bengaluru took 3 hours including some painful delays at the toll gates but the smooth Mysore Expressway made the drive enjoyable.
The sanctuary is open from 9 AM to 6 PM on all days. If you have time, you can also visit Srirangapatna which is within 5 kms from the sanctuary.
