Garmin VIRB 360 Stabilization Options

The Garmin VIRB 360 has multiple Stabilization Options available in the Garmin Virb Edit desktop software. In this video we go over each one and show an example video of how it works and what the best choice is for you are your videos.

Stabilize Only
This is the main default option selected for stabilization, it does a great job if there is a lot of movement in your videos.

Follow Path
This option focuses the view point of the video towards the movement of the camera. GPS must be turned on for this to work correctly. If the camera is turning or looking left and right constantly then this is a great option to use. I use this when bike riding.

Compass Lock
This option is very interesting, you can place the viewpoint in a single direction and it will stay there the entire clip. If there is a crazy amount of movement and camera panning left and right this might be the best option to use. I haven't used this on any of my videos other than to test it out. I would much rather use the AutoPano GoPro Reframe plugin if I had to do anything similar to the Compass Lock feature.
