How Does a Bike Pump Work?

This video explains how a bike pump works using the principles of pressure and volume in boyle's law as taught in a typical chemistry and physics course.  This video explains how a force can be used to compress a gas thereby increasing its pressure due to a decrease in volume causing air to flow in one direction.  It also explains the function of the inlet and outlet valves in a bike pump when inflating a tire.
