Colin and Brad Talk Final Fantasy VII Rebirth | Sacred Symbols+, Episode 379

In mid-April, we at Last Stand published a nearly-four hour review discussion and spoilercast for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and it was well-received (thank you for that). But there was a common request among many viewers and listeners: "We want Colin's opinion, too." Well, fine! I (Colin) am finally done with Rebirth after 89 hours, and while I may go back to clean up a few things, I'm pretty much satisfied. Well, more than satisfied, really. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is exceptional -- one of the best RPGs ever made, in fact -- and it moves effortlessly from strength to strength. From resonant storytelling and powerful characters to a living, breathing world and incredibly high stakes, Square Enix truly nailed it, which may not come as a surprise considering how good 2020's Remake itself was. I was grateful to have Summon Sign's Brad Ellis along with me for a couple of hours, as we worked our way through just some of what makes this adventure shine. And we admit that there's so much to say that we may just have to do another episode in the near-future, perhaps with your inquiries as the fuel.
