In February 1968 Lionel Rose took the world bantam weight crown from Masahiko fighting Harada in 15 rounds in Tokyo The boxer from Gippsland in Victoria returned to a hero's welcome in Melbourne and was named Australian of the year.He also had a singing career  Johnny Young penned "Thank you" which went to no 1 on the Australian country music charts.For Animated song versions click on franksanimations at the centre of this page
