HELLO DDR'S (Dedicated Description Readers)!
Wow, this whole experiance was very surreal! I was actually stationed at JEB Little Creek twelve years ago, and coming back to visit was... It's honestly hard to describe. The base hasn't really changed all that much. I remembered it like it was yesterday, but SO MUCH has happened since then... It really put my life into perspective and made me realize how quickly time gets away from us. It was kind of bitter-sweet, watching all those young sailors doing exactly what I did all those years ago. Now, I'm the old guy thinking "aww, look at those kids, they have so much to learn" kinda made me flash back to the countless times I heard my parents, bosses and CO's say the exact same thing to me. It doesn't really hit you until you say it yourself. Iit was like I finally understood what it means to be "grown-up." Does that make sense? Maybe that's weird to you, and if it is, I'm sorry. You'll probably understand someday. :-P

I gotta go to bed now. Long day of house work ahead of me! Turns out, furnishing a house is a lot of work!
