7 AV-performance

"7" is an audiovisual performance by Radugadesign studio and musician Alexander Zaripov.

It is dedicated to the perception of colour and sound and their effect on humans. During the show viewers were able to feel the character, psychology, mood of colour and light
and witness a polyphonic multispectral AV-performance. Inspired by the synesthesia phenomenon, generative content connected with multi-channel audio in TouchDesigner allows one to "see" the sound down to the smallest detail.

The dominant feature of the art project is a composition of seven 12-meter LED columns.
"7" creates a complete immersive experience where flashes of colour and sound waves are synchronized taking its viewers on a journey through colours, from black and white to the rainbow spectrum.

The visuals are enhanced by 360 sound technology. An experimental analogue 40-minute track was created by composer Alexander Zaripov.

First presented at the Intervals Media Art Festival in 2021, the performance was attended by 15 000 people in 3 days.
