50 YEAR OLD HAWKER CENTRE AND LOWER PEIRCE RESERVOIR // EXPLORING IN THE RAIN - PIT VIPER SPOTTED!!!

The skies were blue and
The skies were blue and our bellies were empty so we hopped on a bus and went to Sembawang Hills Hawker, one of the OG hawkers built in 1974, this hawker has 36 cooked food stalls to choose from!
Whilst enjoying our lunch the wind picked up and the rain came down. We enjoyed sitting and watching the world go past for a while, before we decided to just go for a walk anyway.
With the rain easing a little we made our way to the Lower Pierce Reservoir. A new spot for all of us and soon we were headed onto a boardwalk towards Upper Pierce Reservoir.
We found ourselves inside a dense jungle, following the wooden boardwalk over the water and through the trees.
We kept our eyes peeled for nature and as the weather was still a little damp we had the place to ourselves for a while. We spotted fish, huge water snails, terrapins and to top it all off a POISONOUS Pit Viper at the end of the trail just a step in from the path. The Viper had also recently shed its skin and could be seen hanging from the tree. Possibly a once in a lifetime find.
We ended our surprising walk with some drinks at a local coffee shop and popped into Biscuit King to grab some snacks.
We were so glad we didn’t cut our day short because of the rain. Check out the video and find out why!
