Musical Notes : Frequency Analysis with MATLAB

In this video, we'll see the relationship between the musical notes and their signal frequencies by using MATLAB. First, we'll take a look at the main frequencies of the musical notes on a guitar with standard tuning. The we'll play these open strings and analyze the recording in MATLAB using fft and spectrogram. The same notes will be played on a grand piano in Garageband application, and the comparison with the guitar spectrum is given. Finally, chords are played on the guitar and the same analysis is done to that mp3 file.
