We all keep a mental record of our personal bests. Maybe it's the biggest fish you ever caught, the most weight you ever bench pressed, or your best bowling score ever (286 for me, 9/15/01 wink wink). Well the same goes with metal detecting, and one of the biggest personal bests that every detectorist keeps track of is the oldest coin they've ever dug.
