Two parts to today's Old
Two parts to today's Old Classic Car video! Firstly, we point the Dodge WC pickup's curvaceous snout in the direction of the Old Piggery Cafe for its regular classic & sports car meet (this was July 2023's meet, hence the glorious weather and leaves on the trees!).
As always a great mix of classic cars turned up to show the young 'uns how it's done :-) Highlights included a Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow 1, Bond Bug, Vanden Plas 1500 (Allegro) and related 200 series VdP, MGB, Jaguar XJ-S & XK150, Porsche 928, FIAT 500 Abarth, Ford Sierra XR4i and many others, in addition to a varied line-up of more modern sportscars.
We also had to make a last-minute dash to Portugal for a few days and while we were there, I stumbled across a few gems - carros clássicos em portugal - that make it into this upload. They include a cache of classic fire engines chanced upon in a small town, plus sightings of a Renault 4, an immaculately restored Citroen 2CV, and a few other elderly vehicles. We also had to make an emergency stop in a small village when an iconic-shaped 1960s petrol station and garage were spotted, for sale, behind tall fencing. I only had my phone with me for this trip hence the iffy footage, but hopefully it'll prove of interest. If I could have picked up the 1960s garage and brought it home with me, I would have done. A return visit to take a closer look may be required one day.
