Junior doctors who are members of the British Medical Association have begun a new three-day strike in an ongoing dispute over pay. The strike comes after five weeks of negotiations between the BMA and the Department for Health and Social Care broke down. Further strike action takes place from January 3 to January 9.
Dr Sumi Manirajan, Junior Doctor and Deputy co-chair, UK Doctors’ Cttee, BMA joins us live from the picket line to discuss the goal of the strike and how senior consultants and doctors will be covering those striking to prevent risks.
