In this video I discuss the fleeting nature of pretty privilege. I go into the debate on Ozempic, weight management and body image, and the lengths some may go to maintain the associated pretty privilege that comes with thinness. I then go into the body changes that come with motherhood and tie this into the discussion, that for even some of the most beautiful women in the world, the maintenance of one's body and therefore looks and consequently pretty privilege is a constant struggle. Finally I talk about how life is ever changing and therefore if you play the game of pretty privilege and constantly chasing beauty standards, you are eventually bound to lose. As such, one should work on themselves of course, but keep a focus on their inner journey and prioritize their own mental health and healing over anything else.
