Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do it: Choose the right tarp: Select a large enough tarp to cover the area beneath the mulberry tree. A size of 8 feet by 8 feet or larger should work well. Position the tarp: Spread the tarp on the ground beneath the mulberry tree. Make sure the tarp is centered directly beneath the canopy of the tree, as this is where the majority of the fruit will fall. Secure the tarp: Place rocks, bricks, or other heavy objects around the edges of the tarp to hold it in place. This will prevent it from shifting or blowing away when the wind blows or when you're picking the fruit. Shake the tree: Gently shake the branches of the mulberry tree to encourage the ripe fruit to fall onto the tarp. You can use a long pole or a ladder to reach higher branches if necessary. Collect the fruit: Once you've shaken the tree, wait for a few moments to allow all the ripe mulberries to fall onto the tarp. Then, carefully gather the corners of the tarp and lift it up, creating a bundle of gathered fruit.
