Bhajni Chakali is traditional Maharashtrian recipe made specially during diwali. It is one of the most famous diwali faral almost made by each an every household in Maharashtra.

Ingredients:

1 cup raw rice
1/4th cup Moong Dal
1/4th Cup Chana Dal (split chickpeas)
1/4th Cup Urad Dal (Split Black Gram)
1/4th Cup Poha (flattened rice)
1/4th sabudana (tapioca pearls)
1tbsp oil
2 tbsp Black pepper
2 tbsp Jeera (cumin seeds)
2tbsp sesame seeds
1-1/2 tbsp red chilli powder
1/2 tbsp turmeric
2 tbsp kashmiri red chilli
1 tbsp salt

Method:

Wipe raw rice, chana dal, moong dal, urad dal using damp cloth.

Take a pan and roast black pepper, jeera,chana dal, moong dal, urad dal, poha and sabu-daana each. On low flame for 5-7 minutes.

Mix all the ingredients and grind it into flour. Take it off with the help of sieve.

Take a deep pan, pour 3 cups of water (use same as that of flour)

Add these things into boiling water: 1 tbsp oil, 2 tbsp sesame seeds, 1-1/2 tbsp red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric, 2 tbsp kashmiri red chilli, 1 tbsp salt.

Pour prepared Chakli flour into pan and mix it gently.

After cooling take a bowl and knead the mixture into it. Now put mixture into chakli maker, swirl to form chakli.

Place the chaklis into hot pan & Deep fry in oil on medium-low flame.Remove the chaklis once bubbles are reduced.

Chaklis are now ready to be served.
