LEDs - Light Emitting Diodes - Basic Introduction

This electronics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into LEDs also known as light emitting diodes.  It discusses the polarity of an LED including how to connect them.  The anode is the positive terminal and the cathode is the negative terminal.  It discusses topics such as the forward voltage drop of the LED and its relationship to the current flowing in the circuit.  It also mentions the luminous intensity of the LED as measured in mcd or millicandela.
