THE TRUTH OF JODHA BAI

In this video the youtuber has tried to explain that Jodha Bai was not wife of Akbar, but she was wife of his son Jahangir. In 1829, a britisher whose name was Colonel James Tod wrote a book 'Annals & Antiquities of Rajasthan'. In this book he mentioned Jodha Bai as a wife of Akbar & after that people believed that Jodha Bai was wife of Akbar. In many Bollywood movies & TV serials we have seen Jodha Bai as a wife of Akbar. Jahangir in his memory 'Tuzuk-i-Jahangiri' corelated his wife Jagat Gosain with Jodha Bai. In those days Jagat Gosain was popular by the name of Jodha Bai. Jagat Gosain was daughter of Raja Udai Singh of Jodhpur & mother of Prince Khurram.
                            The books written during the reign of Akbar & Jahangir, the name of Jodha Bai has never been mentioned. The name of those books are :
1. Akbarnama by Abul Fazal
2. Tuzuk-i-Jahangiri by Jahangir
3. Tabakat-i-Akbari by Nizamuddin
4. Manat Khabat Tawareekh by Abdul Kadir Badayuni
5. Akbar by Rahul Sankrityanan
6. Akbar the Great Mughal by V Smith
                             These evidences clearly shows that Jodha Bai was wife of Emperor Jahangir & not of Akbar.
