The sumac, (Rhus coriaria), is
The sumac, (Rhus coriaria), is a shrub with very green leaves whose flowers grow in the form of bouquets giving a reddish-brown fruit. One of the main uses of sumac has been as a tanning product for skins, due to its high tannin content. In 2011, a group of residents of the Cultural Association Friends of Paracuellos de la Ribera (Zaragoza) decided to recover this work from the memory of the old sumaqueros of the town.
