Arayes meat stuffed pita✨

For the Arayes:
-3 Cloves Garlic, minced
-1/2 Yellow Onion, minced
-1/3 Cup Parsley, minced
-1 tsp Salt
-1/4 tsp Pepper
-1 tsp Allspice
-1 tsp Cumin
-1/2 tsp Coriander
-1/2 tsp Cinnamon
-1 lb. Ground Beef (90% lean or less, you want some fat or else they will be too dry)
-3 or 4 Pitas, cut in half
-2 Tbsp Olive Oil, divided

For the Lemon Tahini Sauce
-1/4 Cup Tahini
-1 Lemon, juice
-1 Clove Garlic, grated (or minced)
-1 Pinch Salt
-2 Tbsp Cold Water, or more if needed

1️⃣ If you don’t have a grill pan and will be cooking your arayes in the oven, preheat your oven to 400F
2️⃣ Mix together the garlic, onion, parsley, salt, pepper, allspice, cumin, coriander, cinnamon beef, and 1 Tbsp oil
3️⃣ Carefully stuff the meat into the pitas; press pitas between your fingers so meat gets evenly distributed and goes to the edge of the pita
4️⃣ Brush the outside of the pitas with olive oil and cook on a greased, preheated grill pan over medium high for 5 mins per side plus 2-3 mins on the exposed meat (alternatively, if you don’t have a grill pan it’s best to cook in a regular pan for 1-2 mins per side to toast the pita and then bake at 400F for about 20 mins)
5️⃣ While the arayes are cooking, mix together the ingredients for the tahini sauce; if it is still too thick add more water and continue stirring until it thins out - enjoy!

⏲30 minute total prep + cook time

🥙Recipe makes 3-4 full pitas (6-8 halves) depending on how full you stuff them
