How to Capitalize the First Letter of a Word in Google Sheets

In this video, I show you how to capitalize the first letter of a word in Google Sheets. I show how to capitalize the first letter of every word in a cell with the PROPER function and how to capitalize the first letter of the first word of a cell by combining functions.

The syntax for the first letter of every word in a cell
=PROPER(A1)

The syntax for capitalizing the first letter of the first word in a cell:
=UPPER(LEFT(A1,1))&RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)–1)
