Black people have demonstrated an unwavering loyalty to the Democratic Party, dating back to Kennedy's presidency. But even as Democrats reap the benefits of our overwhelming support, they don’t seem to have a sense of urgency when it comes addressing Black issues. Currently, police reform has failed and voting rights legislation is stalled. Michael Harriot of TheRoot.com published an op-ed today titled," The Unbearable Whiteness of the Democratic Party...and America."
