South Pacific Kastom dance in Vanuatu, Tanna Island, Isaka Village

While there are many kastom dance videos, many uploaded by tourists from displays intended to showcase the culture. Rarely are they witnessed in the organic life of a village. This dance was being done in the lead up to, and preparation for, an island-wide ceremony. I thought it particularly charming because the Chief, Johnny, enters the circle holding the hand of his grandchild, who not too long ago learned to walk, and kiddo gets a taste of the dance. Just a sweet moment.
