Ed Boon, chief creative officer at NetherRealm Studios, joins IGN at gamescom 2023 to discuss raising the bar on the 30-year saga, introducing a brand new story that reinvents a lot of its familiar characters, Invasions mode, and more in the upcoming fighting game. Mortal Kombat 1 will feature more single-player content than its predecessors and it's teeming with ruthless new characters such as Homelander and Omniman, as well as some disgusting fatalities.

Mortal Kombat 1 is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch on September 19, 2023.
