Mr Anbarasan from Coimbatore modified a friend's scooter into a hybrid scooter that works on both petrol and electricity. He claims to have used only non-flammable goods. He utilised a lithium Ferro phosphate battery for the scooter, and after the change, the scooter currently runs 70 kilometres per charge.
