Cheesy Baked Mac-N-Cheese with a Twist!! 75 Year Old Secret Ingredient Recipe!

Hey everybody - in this video I demonstrate how to make a very old, but very very delicious heirloom Mac-n-Cheese recipe that has stood the test of time.  Be sure to catch the "Secret Ingredient Alert!"

INGREDIENTS:

1-1/4 Pound Extra Sharp Whiter Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
(Reserve 1/4 Cup cheese to place on top of mixture)
1 LB.  Large Elbow Macaroni Pasta
2 Cups Whole Milk
3 Tbs. European Style Butter
3 Tbs. Flour (enough to form a paste)
3 Tbs. Finely Minced Onions
Salt and Pepper To Taste

DIRECTIONS:

Cook pasta al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water and set aside.
Melt butter in a medium sized saucepan.
Add minced onions to melted butter.
Saute onions until just slightly browned.
Add flour a little at a time to pot stirring frequently to form roux.
Let roux cook at low heat a couple minutes.
While Stirring, slowly add milk to the roux to make a white sauce.
Start adding cheese to the white sauce and continue to stir as cheese melts.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Once all the cheese is melted and cheese sauce is formed,
pour into baking dish with pasta.
Stir pasta and cheese sauce to incorporate.
Add additional shredded cheese to top of mixture.
Bake 350 degrees F. 20 mins.
