राम मंदिराच्या जागेवर उत्खनन केल्यास त्याजागी बुद्ध मंदिर होतं दोघांच्या वादात पडू नये, म्हणून आम्ही शांत आहोत. असा दावा केंद्रीय मंत्री रामदास आठवले यांनी केला आहे. बाबरी मशिदप्रकरणी सुप्रीम कोर्टाच्या निर्णयानुसार 5 एकर जागा दिली आहे. राम मंदिराच्या जागेवर बुद्ध मंदिर असल्याचे पुरावे देखील असल्याचे त्यांनी म्हटलं आहे. अडीच वर्षानंतर त्या ठिकाणी राम मंदिर आले आहे. त्यामुळे हा विषय संपला असुन मुस्लीम समाजाचे आभार मानतो असं त्यांनी स्पष्ट केला आहे.
