Catholic devotees in the northern Philippines have been nailed to wooden crosses in a re-enactment of Jesus Christ's crucifixion on Good Friday. Hundreds of people gathered to watch the event in the village of Cutud where two-inch nails were hammered through the hands and feet of the devotees. The Catholic Church condemns this practice, but the country has dismissed this and continues to hold annual crucifixion rituals as a form of repent. Report by Sarah Kerr.
