The first of 4 episodes demonstrating proper cleaning of the M14/M1A family of rifles. I don't use GI cleaning rods because they can damage the crown of the barrel unless you know how to use them properly.
Complete disassembly is not required between range trips and should only be done if the rifle is exposed to extreme environments (rain, mud and sand).
