What will the populations of countries look like by the year 2300?
This video shows the population of the 55 largest countries from the years 1950 to 2300. This was made due to a request from AESThunder1.
Method:
The only data for projection populations to 2300 was an old UN paper from 2002. It was outdated and was quite different from even the most recent 2019 UN projections until the year 2100. As a result, I took the growth values they had from the 2002 paper and applied it to the most recent 2019 data starting from 2100 and beyond. Is this accurate? Maybe, maybe not. But I believe it's the best anyone can do with the current available data.
The models used are the 'medium' growth models from UN data.
