YouTube recently started adding hashtags above video titles. Hashtags have been around on YouTube for a while, but almost no one used them. But now with them appearing above video titles, they are being put front and center, and presumably a lot of people will start using them. Clicking on a hashtag takes you to a search results page with other videos using that same hashtag, so you can find similar videos. This could possibly turn into a major way to find new videos.
