On 05/15/2022,
Officers responded to a call about a battery in progress between two females.
When officers arrived, they spoke to the victim who stated that the suspect had dragged her by her hair to the ground in the kitchen. Officers spoke with the suspect and she stated that when she walked into the residence, the victim was sitting on the kitchen counter and she began to "talk s***" to the suspect. The suspect stated that she confronted her and said "what you wanna do" to the victim and they began to fight.
At first, the suspect stated that she grabbed the victim by the hair and they fell down on the ground. The suspect immediately changed her story and said that the victim jumped down off of the counter and that she did not drag her down. It is important to notice that the dispatcher relayed info that stated that the victim was holding a wad of her own hair that the suspect had pulled out.
The suspects's son stated that he audio recorded the entire conversation that the victim(his girlfriend) and the suspect (his mom). He was able to play that recording for me and it was determined that the victim did not make any comments toward the suspect that could be perceived as encouraging violence. The victim had a wad of her hair in her hand when the officer walked in and she had a large scratch on her arm from where she was dragged down.
This is not a family Violence relationship and the victim did want to press charges on the suspect. The suspect was placed under arrest (BB DL) and transported to jail.
