The Developer tab in Excel
The Developer tab in Excel ribbon houses some of the tools that you need for advanced excel use. For example - Macros, Visual Basic Editor, Add Ins & Form Controls... to name a few. We will look at how to get the developer tab enabled for you.
Enabling the Developer Tab - Step by Step instructions
(The below method should work in Office 365 Subscription, Office Online, Office 2019, Office 2016, Office 2013, Office 2010)
Step 1: Goto File - Options - Customize Ribbon
Step 2: Under Main Tabs, check the "Developer" to enable developer tab
Click on OK. Now, you should see that the Developer tab has come in your ribbon.
In Excel 2007, the steps are a bit different. ill walk you through the same here
Step 1: Click the "Microsoft Office button" and then select "Excel Options".
Step 2: Click "Popular" and then click on "Show Developer tab in the ribbon"
You can now start your journey into advanced excel!
