CHEM 201: Phase Diagram

In this example, we obtain information from a phase diagram including the triple point, critical point (critical temperature and critical pressure), which phase is more dense (solid or liquid) based on the slope of the fusion curve, identify the normal boiling point and normal freezing point, and identify which phase change will occur (fusion, vaporization, sublimation, melting, condensation, or deposition) under particular conditions.
