Webinar: AutoCAD CAD Standards

When we draft we are generally drafting to a standard of some type and they usually apply to layers, linetypes, text styles and dimension styles.


Setting up CAD standards will act as a backbone to all the CAD drawings and drafting that takes place and not only help banish inconsistent drawings but enable a more efficient workflow.


Standards define a set of common properties for named objects such as layers and text styles. You or your CAD manager can create, apply, and audit standards in drawings to enforce consistency.


Because standards make it easier for others to interpret drawings, standards are particularly useful in collaborative environments, where many individuals contribute to the creation of a drawing.

Assign Standards Checking to a drawing
Configuration of the Standards Checker
Adding plugins to the Standard Checker
Auditing drawings for drafting issues and rectifying or ignoring variations
Converting drawings from external sources to your cad standards
