Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail KIWT. Is it worthwhile now?

The Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail is a 5 individual day walks previously a 5 day hike but since the bushfires of 2020 no shuttle service is the only way.
It's an easy walk in the Flinders Chase National park at the western end of Kangaroo Island , South Australia. While the landscape and animals are still recovering from the fires, construction of the campsites and Lodge is it worth while now? I think come back in 5 years time when more animals will return and the seedlings grow.
