The most common parts of any type of battries are –1. Positive plate – positive plate of a lead acid battery is made of lead peroxide PbO2 having chocolate brown colour.2. Negative plate – negative plate of a lead acid battery is made of spongy lead (Pb) having dull grey colour3. Electrolyte – The electrolyte used in the lead acid battery is a solution of sulphuric acid and distilled water, in the ratio of 38% sulphuric acid and 62% distilled water by weight.
