A-Line Los Angeles: Scariest Metro Line in the World? A Brit's Experience 🇬🇧🇺🇸

I took a ride from The Civic Center in Downtown LA to Downtown Long Beach. The route took me through Watts, Compton and other 'hoods' that, when I was growing up in the 90's, had serious reputations of gang violence, race riots, poverty hardship and some of the best rappers the West Coast has produced.

This is the land of NWA, Suge Knight, Rodney King, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lemar and the Williams sisters. In LA (and many parts of the US) there is a stigma against public transport amongst many people. Some say it is for poor people only, that it's impractical, dirty and dangerous.
