Port Forwarding with NAT features
There are times when servers on our network need to be accessible from public networks. For example because there are employees who are mobile and must be able to access the data that is on the server. What we need is a public IP. Static public IP is more recommended. We can just install a public IP to our server, then the server can be accessed from the internet. The problem is what if we only have one public IP, what about other computers that must also be connected to the internet. How about security management for traffic that goes to the server?
In proxy, this need can be overcome by port forwarding using NAT features. So that bandwidth can be managed and firewall filtering can be done, we place the server under a proxy router. That is, the server is on the local network.
