Actor Emma Watson reveals she has suffered a "series of threats" and "a baptism of fire" after becoming a gender equality activist but won't give up the fight. The actor and Global Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women speaks at the annual One Young World Summit in Canada's capital, where 1,300 young leaders have been brought together to create connections that lead to lasting impact. "The last two years have been a baptism of fire to say the least, where I learnt just how little I know, and also how much," she said. She described the battle for gender equality as being just as important as the ones against violent extremism and climate change. The Challenging Gender Stereotypes Special Session took place at the 2016 One Young World Summit, the world's premier forum for young leaders, in Ottawa, Canada. The Summit brought together 1,300 delegates from all 196 UN-recognised countries, empowering them to make lasting connections to create positive change.
