In an unprecedented turn of the back on all repair shops and the OEMs, asTech handed GEICO a standardized pricing system that all shops (not just DRPs) will be subjected to.
In addition, asTech is "providing" GEICO with a rules engine that will determine what operations (scans and calibrations) should be done, based on their proprietary data and not OEM repair procedures.
Sure... a consumer should trust asTech and GEICO for what their car needs over the engineers that made it.
This circus gets worse as more insurers are sure to jump on this severity saving "opportunity".
