Evergreen Line - Taking Environmental Action, Protecting the Future

Supporting the messages resulting from COP27, Evergreen Line rolled out this new environmental protection video. We remain aligned with UN climate change policies and aims. As a self-motivated ‘Guardian of the Green Earth’, Evergreen Line takes positive actions to carry through our commitment on reducing greenhouse gas emissions by setting a clear timetable. At the same time, we are responding to the promise for carbon reduction via the shipping industry’s environmental protection initiatives.

At Evergreen Line, green isn’t just a slogan or a color, it’s a code of conduct we build into every aspect of our operation – it is in our DNA. As one of the initiatives towards going green, Evergreen Line launched the ‘Greenships’ building plan in 2003, demanding environmentally friendly design features surpassing regulations at the time. As a result of conducting a continuous fleet renewal plan, all new vessels building designs are specified to adopt the most advanced technology - in compliance with IMO’s Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) regulations for best fuel efficiency.  Through these efforts we are marching towards carbon neutral by 2050.
