The Fitbit Inspire 2 has been around for about a month while Samsung Galaxy Fit2 has been released approx. 2weeks back. I’ve done the initial reviews with these but today I want to show and tell what its like using them on a day to day basis. We’ll go through the good and the ugly nuances I found.
Design is always key, because at the end of the day we do judge a book by its cover… Galaxy Fit 2 is quite bland, plastic rectangular but pops out of the rubber strap with ease for use as a clipon or to change straps… now getting different color straps is a bit of a nuisance as you can only buy the Samsung official straps.
The Fitbit Inspire 2 looks quite similar to the original Inspire and Inspire HR, but now has a quick-release band that makes it easier to switch to a new look, plus a more rounded case design. The case is plastic.. not much more to say here… it is feather light though, at only 8 grams without the strap and 20 with it.
Let’s talk clasps… Galaxy Fit 2 uses a new sort of clasp which is extremely frustrating to use… it’s illogical and strange.. there is no way you can quickly take the tracker off nor slip it on midway during an exercise.. heck it’s a whole ordeal! Inspire 2 thankfully goes classic with a watch style clasp.
