Alex Murdaugh Tested Positive for Hard Drugs After Roadside Shooting: Defense Attorney

While pressing the SLED agent who investigated Alex Murdaugh’s roadside shooting incident, defense attorney Richard Harpootlian revealed the disgraced lawyer tested positive for opioids and barbiturates after the crime. Harpootlian grilled agent Ryan Kelly over his knowledge of Murdaugh’s intoxicated state at the time of the shooting. Kelly testified the medical records detailing the drug test results were only released after a court subpoena.
