Missouri State Web developer, Kyle Borah walks us through how to install and use the screen reader, NVDA. The demonstration includes how to use NVDA to read a web page to test for accessibility. Kyle Borah is a web developer (Dev) in the State of Missouri. He works with the department of higher education at the office of administration -ITSD. He is blind and can't see the computer screen. He does have some vision to tell if the screen is lit up but, can't read any text or images, so he uses a program called a screen reader, which voices everything. He also uses a Braille display with a keyboard that is a one-line text output combination. For this session, he will be using NVDA, the free screen reader for Microsoft Windows.
