Borgo storico di origini antiche, è da sempre stato un centro di riferimento della Repubblica fiorentina, in considerazione del suo territorio e della posizione strategica lungo la direttrice tra Firenze e Siena.
Il centro storico conserva ancora le sue mura antiche ed è impreziosito dalla caratteristica torre dell’orologio da cui è possibile raggiungere la Collegiata di San Cassiano del XVIII secolo eretta su un precedente edificio romanico.
Bellissimo il panorama sulle colline chiantigiane che questo luogo è in grado di offrire.
Il territorio circostante è ricco di Pievi tra cui spicca Pieve di San Pancrazio e altre.

In the heart of the Florentine Chianti San Casciano Val di Pesa is one of the best-known centres.
Historic village of ancient origins, it has always been a reference center of the Florentine Republic, in consideration of its territory and strategic position along the route between Florence and Siena.
The historic center still retains its ancient walls and is embellished by the characteristic clock tower from which it is possible to reach the 18th century Collegiate Church of San Cassiano built on a previous Romanesque building.
The view of the Chianti hills that this place is able to offer is beautiful.
The surrounding area is full of parish churches, among which Pieve di San Pancrazio and others stand out.
