Triumph GT6 Pt. 3 - A Closer Look

This is part 3 of a three part documentary film I produced on the Triumph GT6.

So, when's the last time you saw one of these British sports cars on the road? How about at a car show or meet-up like Cars & Coffee? I'll bet you haven't. I'm referring primarily to the USA. There are, however, a small but fair number of nice examples to be found in Great Britain.

That's because of the 40,900 produced from 1966-1973 and with 75% exported outside of Great Britain, only a small portion survived over the years. Ranking somewhat low on the collector car list, many that succumbed to mechanical failures, poor maintenance or crashes either ended-up in the junk yard or are sitting in various states of disrepair in garages here and there collecting dust or worse.

Other cars have followed similar fates. Think Datsun 240Z. But, these cars tend to attract attention because they have become rare sights to behold. That's what makes owning one fun. I own a 1967 GT6 Mk1 and learned much about this interesting and fun Triumph model.

So, share the experience and watch all three segments. I guarantee you'll learn more about the Triumph GT6 than most car guys and even British car specialists.
