The Hyper Phase Stereo Phaser pedal by Digitech offers seven different types of phasing effects, including 4-stage, 8-stage, and 12-stage phase shifters. In this video we demonstrate the pedal's 4-stage phase shifter ("Stage A") setting, the "Rise/Fall" setting, and the "Step" setting. For this video we used a Fender Standard Strat plugged into an Ampeg GVT52-212 and recorded with a Sennheiser e835 mic.
On this pedal, SPEED controls the speed of the phase shift sweep, and DEPTH controls the depth of the phase shift effect. For the "Rise/Fall" setting, REGEN controls whether the effect is rising or falling - otherwise REGEN controls the amount of feedback in the phaser effect. In addition to what we cover in this video, the pedal has a "Trig Up" setting in which the phaser effect starts at the bottom of its sweep when the trigger threshold is reached, and a "Trig Down" setting which starts the phaser at the top of its sweep when the trigger threshold is reached.
