Посадили самолет на Байкальский лед и устроили пикник [ENG SUB]

Hi all. In this video we take off from Irkutsk airport OEK and head to Baikal lake, attempting to land on its frozen waters. Our imaginary runway has been checked and plotted for us by our local friends and hence the landing should be pretty safe. Now then, enjoy the show and see whether we have managed to land our Cessna 172 safely on the ice of the Baikal lake. We also planned to do a little picnic once we get there, so landing was something both my passengers and I were very super keen for!

My name is Andrey Melnikov and I have completed the Russian Flight School. I then bought myself a Cessna 172 and now fly it for pleasure to all airports of our vast country. By doing this I would like to show and prove everyone, that this is something anyone can do and that we have all the required infrastructure in Russia for general aviation planes.
